In the four years we’ve been involved with Westobou Festival, we’ve watched how it’s evolved – improving and refocusing how it builds community and inspires through artistic experiences.
This year, Westobou was ready for a totally fresh web approach – and we delivered:
We improved Westobou’s web presence with a totally custom, responsive website – catering to the Festival’s new model: MUSIC + ART + DESIGN. With a focus on user-experience, we wanted the new site to be easily accessible and give the user an immediate vibe of the 5-day Festival. The ability to find event information quickly was key, so we created a custom Event Calendar – featuring an improved layout, and expanded media capability (imagery, videos, audio, etc.). This increased user education and ultimately improved event awareness and attendance. Festival goers were even able to add events to their personal calendars using a custom Calendar Sync option.
The new website also allowed users to create their own Event Itinerary – to save and reference throughout the Festival. Other key features added included an interactive Venue Map, Mailing List Sign-Up for improved marketing reach, a Live Social-Feed for community engagement, and an Artist Archive to demonstrate the success of the Festival year-to-year.
